This product has been handmade by artisans who reside and work in remote villages in the South Pacific. The vines they use to construct them — called “vignes d’eau” or water-vines — only grow in remote mountain jungles. Once reaped, the vines grow back quickly, leaving no damage in their native forests. Earnings from weaving help to support the artisans and their villages.
